Reports
Reports are the "step back and see the big picture" view. Ten built-in reports cover activity, money, upcoming work, and the long view of your household. No setup needed.
The ten reports
Open the Reports page to see them. Here is what each one is for:
| Report | What it shows | When you use it | | --- | --- | --- | | Activity | What got done in the last 7, 30, or 90 days. | "Did I actually do anything this month." | | Upcoming | What is due in the next 14 days. | Sunday-night planning. | | Overdue | What slipped through. | When you feel behind. | | Cost trend | Total spend with a 90-day delta vs. previous period. | "Are we spending more than usual." | | By category | Where your maintenance hours and dollars go. | Budgeting and tax prep. | | By person | Who in the family does what. Family plan only. | Sunday-night family meetings. | | Item inventory | A printable list of everything you own, with values. | Insurance claims, home sale. | | Photo book | A scrollable photo gallery of items. | Insurance, memory, fun. | | Year in review | Annual wrap-up generated each December. | Sharing with family, end-of-year summary. | | Tax-ready | Itemized maintenance spending for the tax year. | April. |
Filters
Every report has filters at the top:
- Date range. Last 30, 60, 90 days, or custom.
- Scope. You only, or the whole household.
- Category. Limit to one category of items.
- Person. Family plan only.
Filters stick across visits per-report.
PDF export
Every report has a PDF button in the top right. The PDF is formatted for printing on letter-size paper, with a cover page and a clean layout. Insurance adjusters and tax preparers expect this.
Pinning a report
Click the star icon next to any report to pin it to the top of the Reports page. You can pin up to three. Useful if you check the same one every week.
Year-end report
In late December every year, we generate a one-page recap: tasks completed, money spent, top categories, most-improved areas, biggest projects. It is meant to be light, with a print-friendly layout. Many families share it as a fun "look what we did" with extended family.
Privacy
Reports respect item visibility. Personal items only appear on your report scope; family-shared items appear on everyone's. Sensitive items (marked with the lock icon) are excluded from all reports unless you explicitly include them.
Sharing a report
A few options:
- Print or PDF and email it.
- Share link. Each report has a "share view" option that generates a read-only link. Useful for sending to an insurance agent or contractor without giving them an account.
Share links can be revoked any time from Settings → Sharing.
